Marie Burke - Biography

Marie is an actress, singer, and voice-over artist who started professionally pursuing acting at the University of Southern California in L.A. She got most of her experience there with the Black Entertainment Theatrical Association where she served on the board and played roles in plays like "The Colored Museum." But her acting officially started in Montana during high school when quite by accident she joined the Forensic's Speech organization which led her to acting competitions around her home-state of Montana and eventually nationally. Her first performance piece, Charlayne Woodard's "Pretty Fire," told the true coming-of-age story of a little girl growing up in the South. After that, followed other serious pieces and also comedic, musical duo interpretations such as "Once Upon a Mattress" and tales from Dr. Seuss' "Bartholomew Cubbins."

Since graduating from USC's school of Theatre, she has acted on stage in LA's Theatre District, in various National commercials, television shows, and films. Her most recent television credits include a recurring role as Faun in Tyler Perry's "If Loving You is Wrong" and playing Tatiana on USA's "Satisfaction" which was her official TV debut. She landed her first feature film role in Atlanta playing alongside Dayo Okeniyi as Gwen in Universal's "Endless Love," and next you can see her in a Queen Latifah biopic and as part of the main cast of "To Hell and Back."

Whether in Montana, Los Angeles, or Atlanta, keep a look out.
