Marie Oldenbourg - Biography

Ever since playing a side-walking crustacean and breaking molds as "knitting needles" at age 7, Marie Oldenbourg has striven to push herself in new directions, tackling demanding and exciting roles. While her frequent work within Chapman's film school was recognized with a nomination for the college's screen acting award, she enjoyed straying from her usual medium to perform in Chapman's theatrical production of Present Laughter by Noel Coward, obtaining a KCACTF Irene Ryan acting nomination. Her training with the amazing professors at Chapman has given her a tool box full of techniques from Stanislavski to Alexander to Meisner that she is now eager to apply to roles in the professional world. After portraying Prospero in Shakespeare's The Tempest at age 14 to audience reviews of "Good job, sweetie!" and "That's my little girl," she is confident there is little she can't do. She would like to thank her high school classmates for voting her runner up for the "best smile" superlative.
