Mariela is a cuban actress. At the age of 13 she stared working as a model to help her family, dividing her time between school and shootings.Her job soon led her take part in major productions for the foreign market. She was noticed by the director of the Cuban Television Ballet, Christy Dominguez, who proposed her to enter into the world of dance. Later on, she started dancing in theaters and in the Cuban television. She spent three years of her life dancing. In 2009, she was noticed by an italian talent scout that proposed her to move to Milan. Mariela decided to take the plunge and continue her career abroad. This allowed her to travel around the world and, because of that, she's fluent in three languages: English , Italian and Spanish. Her career grew up bringing her to film important commercials as the "Lancia Thema", directed by Gabriele Muccino. In 2011 she began attending Michael E. Rodgers. acting school. This new art became her passion and two years later she moved to New York to increase her knowledge in acting, so she took different acting workshops. One of her coaches in NY was Terry Schreiber. During the school she took part in several independent short films and at the end of her studies she returned to Italy where she was cast for the for the series "Horror Vacui"(2013) directed by Paola Rotasso and Riccardo Sardone and from then she book roles in some italians movies as "Matrimonio a Parigi"(2012) directed by Claudio Risi. "Colpi di Fortuna"(2013) directed by Neri Parenti. In 2014 she plays the character of Laura in the box office records movie "Amici come noi" directed by Enrico Lando. The last year she was working in 3 Italians projects the series Il Giovane Montalbano, L'ispettore Coliandro and the movie Miami Beach directed by Carlo Vanzina. She moved to Los Angeles a few months ago where she continues working as an actress.
