Mary-Kate Fitzpatrick - Biography

Mary-Kate FitzPatrick was born in Walnut Creek, California, to Linda Walker (FitzPatrick), business owner, and Jerry FitzPatrick Jr., the owner of FitzPatrick Chevrolet. She is from Irish, Colombian, Scottish, and Portuguese decent. The family lived in Danville, California for 20 years before relocating to Palm Desert, CA. When FitzPatrick was 18, she moved to Los Angeles.

After graduating from Carondelet High School in Concord, FitzPatrick attended Mount Saint Mary's University where she receieved her Bachelor of Science in Film, Media, and Social Justice. She had taken acting classes starting at the age of 14, and continued to take them throughout her college career. She was encouraged to compete for Miss Teen California and won the pageant in 2010 unanimously. By the age of 23, FitzPatrick had won several international and local pageant titles. She became a member of the Los Angeles-based improve and sketch comedy troupe The Groundlings, which has ranks of such SNL cast stars like Maya Rudolph, Will Ferrel, Phil Hartman, and Jon Lovitz.

FitzPatrick made her first big debut to high praise as the campaign model for Benefit Cosmetics (2010) which aired internationally for a year. Additional credits include Dorito's (2011), E! News, which covered her 80 pounds weight loss (2012), and Catch Phrase Fight (2013), an online comedic webisode. She currently works as a commercial television producer, story developer, and writer, her first national commercial airing less than 1 year after college graduation from Mount Saint Mary's University. FitzPatrick was hired by Mount Saint Mary's University in 2014 as the Department Specialist for the MFA Film and Television program.

FitzPatrick won Outstanding Future Filmmaker (2011) and Excellence in Cinematography (2012) for her documentaries, "Moose" and "Elephant Skin" which she produced, directed, and edited. She has appeared in Television shows such as Hollywood Exes (2014), Beverly Hills 90210 (2010), and currently hosts talk-show, "Very Mary-Kate".
