Matthew Harris was born in Stockton, California to Denise Harris and Bay Area Blues Musician Shad Harris. There he attended Edison High School where he achieved State and National Championship awards for Speech and Debate. Matthew graduated from UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television with a BA in theatre. After performing in many LA theatre productions, his first foray into movies was a role in the HBO featurette "The Pretty Boy Project" in 2006. Since then, aside from his listed works, he has appeared in numerous national commercials, web series, and Youtube comedy sketches. Matthew is now a stand up and sketch comedian who primarily performs throughout the Southland. As a stand up, Matthew has performed at great venues such as The Comedy Store, Flappers, and The Improv. As a sketch comedian he performs regularly with Improv Olympic West's MainStage sketch show "Top Story! Weekly" and in various other shows at IO West and UCB Los Angeles.
