Matthew Zhang - Biography

The younger brother of Michael Zhang (The Avengers, 2012; Space Warriors, 2013), Matthew Zhang is an Chinese American Actor. He was born in Youngstown, Ohio. Matthew's family, is originally from Southern China, and they immigrated to America to accomplish their American Dream by opening a medical practice in Northern California.

After Matthew's parents accomplished their own dreams, Matthew's family took the step of moving to LA to achieve their dream of becoming a Hollywood Actor.

In Hollywood, Matthew got on the radar through Stand Up Comedy, performing humorous material he wrote at the World Famous Hollywood Improv. He then booked numerous commercials, among them, a promo for the hit show, "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?"

He later went on to book several pilots, and short films, including a supporting role in the AFI Thesis Film, Mojave Cherry Petals (2012), a thesis on the Manzanar Internment camps that he shot alongside his brother.

He cites Chinese Actor Chow Yun Fat as one of his idols, and lookalikes, as well as open of his inspirations for becoming an actor.
