Maurisa Selene Coleman is a British International Model, Actress and Fashion presenter and Choreographer originally from Trinidad. Maurisa has had much experience over the last two years competing for the UK, her biggest achievement being representing both Scotland and Wales at the Mrs World Pageant in Shenzhen China Nov 2014. In 2013 she placed 1st runner on in Top Model UK, 1st runner up in Miss Great Britain, 1st runner up in Mrs Galaxy and gained her first crown as Miss Arabbelles Americas in June. In November of the same year she was crowned Mrs Scotland & Wales World making many appearances at national events and promoting her chosen charity Plan International. All achieved within the space of one year. Her work has led to her being nominated for the International Achievers Award in four categories, Model of the Year, Beauty Queen of the Year, Role model of the year and Goodwill ambassador of the year. She was also a nominee for the BEFFTA awards for the best Female Model. Maurisa is best known as a Fashion Model , for her runway performances at London Fashion week. During the 2014 House of Ikons show Maurisa gained much attention and praise for her dynamic approach to runway performance and was favored greatly by the designers and the photographers in attendance. In fact her success on the runway has led her to be offered the position of creative director for the 2015 House of Ikons Show. She is also the face of McLaren Technologies and designer brands such as Flylander Couture, Lace and Beads in association with the House of Fraser and top UK mas band Bacchanalia. Maurisa is also highly praised by photographers for achieving the shots needed in the minimum space of time because of her very professional attitude, ability to take directions and most of all her own creativity which means the photographers can concentrate on the camera while she creates the poses herself naturally. Maurisa has recently completed acting as the Lead Female in the short movie 'Dirty Black Cab' and is currently filming also as the lead in the short 'Target'. In the year 2014 alone Maurisa has featured as a main character in several creative music videos as well as extras in features. Coming up in 2015 Maurisa will be part of the short Principle, and several other features not yet released. Maurisa is a trained media personality driven by passion for performance, for the arts, for the representation of women of worth and her Charity. She has recently started presenting as well being an instant success with Nush Entertainment Ltd UK at the Labels Fashion Show in Canary Wharf.
