Mia Mills - Biography

Mia was born in Coventry, England in May 1993.

Having acted and performed from the age of 6 in local theatre companies, Mia decided early on that screen acting was her passion and began training in that at age 15. After completing a BTEC (Distinction) in Acting in 2011 , Mia went on to study at Buckinghamshire New University and received a 1st class degree in Acting for Film, TV and Stage. During her time at university she worked with 'RC Annie Ltd' doing basic stage combat training and gained a BADC certificate. She also trained with SignDance Theatre International for a year during her studies, working on dance, physical theatre and Commedia dell'arte techniques. Between the years of 2011-2014 she received vocal and speech training from 'The Voice School'; with her singing and vocal technique lessons from Niall Gelder-Stones and training in speech and accents from Andrea Duncan.

She has worked on student and short films and as a film and television extra; her extra work includes Charlie Brooker's 'Black Mirror' ('The Waldo Moment' and 'White Bear', 2013) and James Marsh' 'The Theory of Everything' (2014)

She began working with Raya Films in 2015 after completing a screen acting course at Pinewood Studios run by director Tim Kent of The Actors Studio.
