Michael McKay - Biography

Michael J. McKay, fluent in German, speaks Russian, some French, Spanish, and Arabic, and is an expert in over 30 dialects, studying with Robert Easton's Master Class for 15 years, and working with Eliza Jane Schneider.

Born into an Army family at Fort Bliss, Texas, Michael J. McKay also lived eight years in Germany, attending 12 different schools before graduating from Austin High School in El Paso.

Mike graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.A. in English, and put it to work as a Cavalry officer, in Mannheim, Germany.

Michael J. McKay and his wife Louise recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary. On moving to Los Angeles Mike was immediately cast as the lead (Gregor Samsa) in Metamorphosis, garnering rave reviews.

Key roles include guest starring as Russian Commander Petavich on JAG, Guest Star as T. Rex on Drake and Josh, an injured Russian soldier on Alias (Ice), and over 100 appearances as a police officer on General Hospital and Port Charles.

Subtle, dangerous, and unpredictable on film, Michael J. McKay has a tremendous weapon of a voice on stage, able to knife through and command attention of any size audience. "Working crowds" for 12 years of improv with Killer Entertainment and Creative Motion Entertainment, Mike honed his comedic delivery over thousands of shows, customized by Mike's research and writing to be truly one-of-a-kind.

A member of the Kiwanis Club of Fullerton since 1993, Michael J. McKay served twice as Club President, 7 years as Club Secretary, and Lt. Governor in 2007 (working with 13 local clubs). Kiwanis is a worldwide organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
