Michael Viruet - Biography

Michael Viruet is a Chicago native who made his way to the west coast in 2008. Since living in the Los Angeles area, Viruet has completed his undergraduate degree in theater from the University of California Northridge, paying his bills by appearing in numerous commercials.

Viruet found his knack for performing at a very young age, pleading with his Mother to allow him to audition for a community theater production of "NORA'S ARK".

While attending high school in Prospect Heights, a suburb of Chicago, Viruet landed the leading role of "Douglas Spaulding" in the Steppenwolf Theater Company's production of Ray Bradbury's "DANDELION WINE". He went on to appear in many theatrical productions including Lysander in "A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM", "Diesel" in "WEST SIDE STORY", and most notably, winning accolades for his starring performance in the title role of "PIPPIN".

"PITCH PERFECT" marks Michael's Feature Film debut. In it, he plays "Unicycle", a member of an A'cappella singing group that is unbeatable in competition.
