Michelle Purple - Biography

One of the emerging young talents in Hollywood, Michelle Glass Purple has quickly ascended the film industry ladder to her current position of Associate Producer on Rob Cohen's action-adventure epic, Stealth; starring Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel and Jamie Foxx for Sony Pictures.

Born in Fullerton, California, Purple began her career with DreamWorks/Amblin Entertainment in 1996, where for three years she learned the ropes of motion picture production. Producer, Suzanne Todd, then enlisted her to serve as her assistant at Team Todd. During Purple's tenure, the company produced such films as Boiler Room, Memento, Idle Hands and HBO's If These Walls Could Talk.

Purple then segued to Rob Cohen's production company, first working as the A list director's assistant on his mega-hit, The Fast and the Furious. Recognizing Purple's skills in development and production, Cohen promoted her to Associate Producer on his next smash hit, Sony/Revolution Studios' XXX, which filmed in the Czech Republic, Los Angeles and Tahiti. After 3 years of being Cohen's President of Production and Development, Michelle started her own production company, Iron Ocean Films, along with actress Jessica Biel. After producing the short film, Hole in the Paper Sky, Iron Ocean Films partnered with United Artists and FIlm Colony to produce the feature film, Die A little.
