Miki Ishikawa was born on July 29th, 1991 in Denver, Colorado. After living there for 4 years, she moved to Honolulu, Hawaii and lived there for 5 more years. Her mother had been a model before Miki was born, so the whole "show business" thing brushed off onto Miki. She started modeling and doing commercials at the age of 5 and singing at the age of 6. She learned Broadway songs along with many ballads from her vocal coach, allowing her to build a strong voice.
Due to her father's new job, her family moved to Los Angeles in 2000. She started training vocally again and soon began to train in dance as well. She joined a performing group, which allowed her to perform in many public places such as Six Flags. Soon she was discovered by a dance company that took her to Japan to do a tour with them, dancing and singing solo performances. In 2004, she landed recurring role on the hit Nickelodeon TV show, Zoey 101, as Vicky. In 2005, she booked her first feature film as one of the family members in the romantic comedy "Yours, Mine and Ours" starring Dennis Quaid and Rene Russo. She played Naoko North, the filmmaker of the North family, who used her camera to document the ups and downs of the large brood.
She was also able to be a part of the 2005 CBS showcase. She performed a skit from "White Oleander," playing Asher. Shortly after, she was given the opportunity to work with CrownSoul Entertainment, as Madison in the short film "Three the Hard Way." The movie is about three best friends out to fight crime in their neighborhood and put an end to the evil caused by their next door neighbor. She is currently working on an album for her singing career in both America and Japan.
In Miki's free time, she enjoys reading, hanging out with friends, going to the movies, talking on the phone, chatting online, shopping and just doing what all other teenage girls love to do!
