Mojean Aria - Biography

A skilled mimic at age six, Mojean Aria began taking acting lessons at his preschool teacher's recommendation. The suggestion fuelled a passion, which took Australian-raised Mojean to N.I.D.A (National Institution of Dramatic Arts) whose notable alumni include Cate Blanchett, Judy Davis, Colin Friels, Mel Gibson, and Hugo Weaving. His talent was so impressive the school allowed him to join advanced (adult) classes at age fourteen.

In 2004 Mojean won a scholarship to the McDonald College High School of Performing Arts where he studied acting for three hours a day while finishing his schooling. In 2005 Mojean landed the lead role in the feature film "Cross Life" directed by Claire McCarthy. "Cross Life" premiered at the Sydney Film Festival.

Following "Cross Life," Mojean had several years which he refers to as the "experimental time." While traversing projects, developing his approach, honing his own voice and purpose, he continued to study screen writing and acting.

Relocating to Los Angeles, Mojean quickly landed the role of young Jake LaMotta in "The Bronx Bull," portraying the character made famous by Robert DeNiro in the iconic film "Raging Bull." Mojean next starred in the human rights film "Aban & Khorshid " which screened for The United Nations and major festivals, including Cannes, Seattle and Palm Springs. Aria has multiple films due for release and others in pre-production. He continues to passionately refine his craft and in his spare time studies movement, poetry and mixed martial arts.
