Molly McKinney - Biography

Molly McKinney was born in Towson, Maryland. Though she appeared in her first commercial at age 3, Molly kept a television career low on her list of priorities and spent the majority of her childhood waste-deep in creeks catching frogs and snakes.

At age 10, she decided to try her luck in the television business again and auditioned for a new children's show called "Aqua Kids". To her surprise, she was cast in the program and was flown to the Bahamas to film the pilot episode which entailed her swimming cage less with wild sharks. For the next 13 years, Molly worked off and on filming the television series throughout high school and college.

By the age of 21, Molly was co-producing and serving as the on-camera host of the two-time Emmy award winning show. In May of 2008, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Television and Digital Film Production from Fredonia University, State University of New York. That year she also received the Golden Key International Honor Societies Leadership award for her environmental work.

McKinney then moved to New York City in September of 2010 to take a break and step behind the camera full-time by helping to run the production side of a Broadcast Public Relations Firm. After a year, Molly was itching to get back in-front the camera and to be around nature again. She now happily resides in Charlotte, North Carolina where she works and travels as a free-lance producer, entertainment/television host, model, lecturer, and of course, scuba dives whenever she gets the chance.
