Morgan Lawley - Biography

Morgan's artistic journey began with an extensive dance career performing and touring with Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, Donna Summer, Dirty Dancing (hey, it was the 80's...) and as one of LA's quintessential Laker Girls.

Post pom-pons, Morgan directed a slew of karaoke videos which launched her music video career, spanning 83 videos and garnering MTV, Billboard, and CMT nominations and awards.

Morgan then wrote and directed two short films. "What I Did For Love," a story about poop, premiered at the Aspen Comedy Festival. "Little Man on Campus" was commissioned by Ford Motor Company and Atomfilms.com and then entered a feature development deal at Universal.

Next she became the go-to-girl for plastics...dolls that is. She directed upwards of 40 spots for Barbie and Bratz and loved it. "It allowed me to be in playful, magical, fantasy all the time. Not to mention the cool-mom points it earned me with my daughter Ruby," she says.

Morgan's toy story continued as she cornered the market on girls advertising . Some of her other clients include American Girl, Invisalign, Disney Princesses, Frozen, Liv Dolls, Novi Stars, Girl Crush, Girl Gourmet, Yo Gabba Gabba, Spa Factory, Health Net, and Hasbro's Littlest Pet Shop & My Little Pony.

Her long form experience includes DRTV programs for Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Comcast.

Morgan's directorial style ranges from urban to whimsical to highly stylized. She's known for making women look beautiful, whether flesh or plastic...or both. Her diverse knowledge of dance, fashion, design, and storytelling allows her to infuse each project with a unique and distinct look. Morgan continues to create memorable visuals that develop, support, and enhance each brand.
