Niamh Algar - Biography

Niamh Algar is an actress known for 'Without Name', 'From The Dark' (2015) and 'Pebbles'.

Niamh began acting at the Actors' Studio in the Factory and was mentored by filmmakers Kirsten Sheridan, Lance Daly, John Carney and Shimmy Marcus. She then went on to graduate from the Programme For Screen Acting at the Factory, now currently known as Bow Street. Upon leaving the Programme she was cast as Sarah the leading role in 'From The Dark', which screened in competition at Fantastic Fest, Stiges Film Festival, and the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. Niamh was cast as Olivia in 'Without Name' a psychological drama directed by award-winning director Lorcan Finnegan. She was cast as Clara the leading role in the IFB Signature short drama 'January Hymn' which premiered at Galway Film Fleadh and ran in competition at the Leeds International Film Festival. Most recently Niamh was cast along side actress Marie Mullen in Pebbles.
