Nick Basta - Biography

Nick Basta holds an M.F.A. from the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard, whose alumni include Jon Bernthal and Steve Zahn. His on-screen career began in the now booming New Orleans where, with the help of late agent, Claudia Speicher, he booked many features and commercials. After graduate school, Nick moved to NYC, where successes included recurring roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Nick has most recently been seen in TV series such as Banshee, Being Mary Jane, Under the Dome, and in the recurring role of Corporal Eastin on AMC's spy drama, TURN: Washington's Spies. Nick's passion for theatre began at an early age in his hometown of Syracuse, NY and continues in his current hometown of Wilmington, NC. On-stage performances include True West, and the lead role in Willy Wonka. A director, producer and aspiring screenwriter, Nick inspires local actors through his work at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington as professor of theatre. Nick's favorite role is as father to his daughter, Corrina.
