Nick Hamm - Biography

Bafta award-winning producer Nick Hamm heads the creative team on "Rogue". The acclaimed director and producer's work extends to feature films, television and theater. He has directed and produced major TV shows for the BBC, ITV and Film 4. His work also includes major feature productions for Miramax, LionsGate and Pathe. Hamm currently heads scripted entertainment at Momentum Entertainment Group, a production company funded by McCann Erickson Worldgroup. With Momentum, he produces scripted content that crosses multiple platforms on a global level. Hamm is able to offer a different perspective to other executives because of his background as a film director, TV producer, theatre director, and former head of Greenroom Digital, an advertising agency in the UK.

Hamm began his career as resident director with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He directed major productions in Europe. In 1989 he moved into television/ film, directing "The Bottom Line," a documentary about the crisis of culture, featuring Arthur Miller and Dustin Hoffman. In television he produced with Greenroom Entertainment the successful BBC Three sitcom series "Off The Hook." He also earlier directed "Play on One" for the BBC starring Catherine Zeta- Jones and Colin Firth and the highly acclaimed series "Rik Mayall Presents" for Granada, starring Helena Bonham Carter.

Hamm's first feature film, "Talk of Angels" made for Miramax, is an epic love story starring Vincent Perez and Polly Walker. His next feature was the romantic comedy "Martha Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence" " written by Peter Morgan and made for Film Four/ Miramax starring Joseph Fiennes. His drama "The Harmfulness of Tobacco," starring Edward Fox won the Bafta Award. He made "Godsend" in 2004 starring Robert De Niro for LionsGate Films. Hamm previously directed the highly original European cult movie "The Hole" in 2001 starring Thora Birch and Keira Knightley.

For "Rogue", Hamm assembled an all star team including Bafta award-winning actress Thandie Newton, Emmy-award winning cinematographer Kieran McGuigan, Oscar award-winning costume designer Angus Strathie and up and coming production designer Ricardo Spinace. He most recently produced and directed "Killing Bono", the rock 'n' roll comedy about two Irish brothers struggling to forge their path through the 1980's music scene in the shadow of their old school pals U2. Prior to the US release on November 4, 2011, the film was released in the UK by Paramount Pictures in April 2011, and has since been released worldwide.
