NM Garcia - Biography

Nina Garcia is an American actress and dancer from New York City. Her academic and artistic achievements gained her a seat into the prestigious La Guardia School of Music and Art and Performing Arts in New York City where she earned The Arts Honor and Regents endorsement for artistic and academic excellence.

Nina proudly embraces her Latin heritage, and is a fluent Spanish speaker and accomplished Salsa/Latin and Ballroom style trained dancer. She also developed her strong theater foundation while training at the well known and respected Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theater in Florida. She has spent the last several years working with some of the most respected casting directors, acting coaches and theater directors in the industry and has gone on to play the lead and supporting roles in theater productions such as William Inge's 'Picnic' in the lead role of 'Madge Owens'.

Nina has over ten years of combined stage, film and television background and has been featured in several hit television shows,independent films and shorts over the years. Nina has also worked with major films such as Marc Abraham's upcoming biopic 'I Saw the Light'(2015) on the famed country singer Hank Williams, portrayed by Tom Hiddleston and 'Keeping Up With the Joneses'(2016),directed by Greg Mottola.

Nina is also trained in stage combat, semi-automatic weapons handling, is an expert precision driver, and an avid Shakespeare performer and enthusiast. Her training and love for writing has inspired her to begin work on her fourth screenplay with aspirations to become a film director of independent films in the future.
