Noof McEwan - Biography

Noof McEwan was born and raised in Leith, Edinburgh to Moroccan parents. He grew up in the renowned and extremely rough council estate known as 'The Fort' with his mother and little sister,'The Lions Den' as he put it.

He was schooled at Leith Primary and Leith Academy. He was introduced to films through his father who was a lover of cinema, especially westerns.

In 2002 he had his first taste of life as a professional actor. He was cast in Richard Jobson's '16 Years of Alcohol' followed by the role of Troy in 'Yo! Diary (2002)'. He then went on to study NC Performing Arts and HNC Acting and Performance at Edinburgh's Telford College.

After college Noof along with 3 other friends produced their first Edinburgh Fringe show before he bought a one way ticket to London. Since his arrival he has worked on several projects such as 'Extraordinary Rendition (2007)' performing opposite Andy Serkis. Also 'River City (2009)' and He worked on 'Taggart (2010)'. His leading man debut in came in 'Leave To Remain (2013)' Starring opposite Toby Jones.
