Ocean Nalu James was born on the 31st of January 2008, in Virginia Beach, VA to Renae and Shawn James. Her mother is a business owner and her father is an IT professional. She has an older sister Taylor James. Before getting into acting, Ocean talked about being on TV since she was 3. She got her start in 2012, with a non-speaking part for director Christian Faber in "I Got Away". Since then she's done print work and modeling, but her heart is in acting.
Her start came with M. Knight Shyamalan's The Visit. She played the young Becca. She is now filming American Pastoral as the young Merry.
