Octavian Kaul - Biography

Octavian was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 2003. His father is Canadian and his mother is American. Octavian began his love for film at an early age. His first passion was movie soundtracks. He was inspired by John Williams and enjoyed playing anything from Star Wars to Harry Potter. He discovered film when his father won a FLIP Camera at a work event. He wrote and directed his first movie at age 8 called "Kids vs Alians". While traveling in India with his family in 2011, he began experimenting with stop motion film. His acting career began in September of 2014 when he was cast as the lead in the "Rollin" music video for the Vancouver Island band, Current Swell. Shortly afterwards, he won the role of Arnie in the short film Strawman for which he won Best Supporting Actor at the UBC Persistence of Vision Film Festival. The highlight of his acting career so far has been his speaking role on Once Upon A Time.
