Omar Mora - Biography

Born and raised in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Mora first turned to medicine, studying to become a doctor in his homeland as well as Mexico. He then moved to New York City for his residency. It was after witnessing the tragedy of September 11th that he decided life was too short not to do everything you want, so he made the decision to begin pursuing his acting dream. While a medical resident in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Saint Vincent's Hospital, Mora was also a student in the two year program at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. After finishing both, he made the decision to move to Los Angeles and continue with both careers. Since making the move, Mora has been building a solid resume in the independent film world.

In 2012 Mora started his career as a writer. His desire and passion to get his stories out drove him to write six feature film scripts and in 2013 he wrote his first literary novel "Ancient Explorers: The Lost City of Peru" based on one of his film scripts.

At this moment Mora is developing his scripts with the goal of making them into feature films through his new company Moras Productions, Inc. Their first short film "A Busy Mind" was distributed by PBS in 2014 and their first feature film "30 Days with My Brother" will be release in 2016 by AMC Theaters.
