Paola Baldion - Biography

Paola Baldion is an award winning actress from Europe and Colombia.

Born in Paris, Paola lived her early childhood in Europe. She began her career at the tender age of four performing with her parents' puppet show in Florence, Italy. Her multicultural background brought her to Colombia. It was there, at 17, where she booked her first role, as a series regular, in the TV series "Amor a Mil".

By age 20 Paola had moved to New York City and continued her actor training studies at HB Studios. After the two year course, she moved to Montreal where she graduated with a BFA Major in Theatre and Minor in Film Studies from Concordia University (Canada).

Paola went on to book her first feature playing the lead role in "Retratos En Un Mar De Mentiras" (Portraits in a Sea of Lies) by director Carlos Gavira. The film received international acclaim and played in several prominent festivals including Berlin and Guadalajara. Her performance as 'Marina' won her the Colombian Academy Award for Best Actress, Best Actress at Guadalajara International Film Festival and Best Actress in Amiens International Film Festival.

Her recent films include: The Naked Screen, Drakken, Electrick Children, No Fall No Spring and The Liberation of James Joyce.
