Paul Hickey is an Irish actor based in London, where he works regularly at the National Theatre and the Royal Court. In many ways he is a new work specialist and has appeared in the premieres of plays by Nick Payne, Penny Skinner, Martin Crimp, Stella Feehily, Michael Wynne and many others. On television he is particularly well known as Lafferty from The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Dr Cohen in Whitechappel and as Doctor Who's hapless Inspector Gregson. He has appeared in many films over the years from Saving Private Ryan in the '90's to War Machine most recently. He is married with two children and lives in West London.
