Paulina Plazas - Biography

At age 16 she was writing her first novel "The life of the Death" and publishing short stories in national magazines. In the year 2000 she was named one of the most promising Colombian talents of her generation by the number one magazine in the country, Revista Semana. That same year she became the youngest screenwriter ever to win honors at the international screenwriting competition "Premio Solinas" (Rome, Italy) where she won the jury prize with her first feature screenplay "Sopas!" with co-writer Filippo Bellizzi. After graduating from the Academy of the Arts in Rome she moved to New York City where she attended the Actors Conservatory and became a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers.
