Philippe Hartmann is a Canadian-American actor and voice over artist born on December 18, 1970 in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Both his parents are originally from Europe. His French mother is Françoise Hartmann, an animator at the National Film Board of Canada and his Belgian born Jewish Hungarian father was a window dresser for a Canadian department store. Philippe attended theatre at John Abbott College then Concordia University in Montreal before leaving for New York City to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute for Film & TV in 1993, which he is a graduate. He also studied acting at The 42nd Street Collective and performed his first off-Broadway play there. He studied clowning with David Shiner, Philippe Gaulier and mime with Marcel Marceau in New-York City. Philippe has worked primarily in the voice over industry for over 20 years, first in Toronto, then extensively in New York City and Stamford, Connecticut. He is better known for being the French speaking Co-Host / Announcer and Color Commentator voice of the WWE "Les Superstars du Catch" broadcast in France. He has also worked in several major films, television sitcoms, specials and series.
