Priyanka Bose is a 34 year old actress and producer. With a repertoire of powerful performances in theatre and film, Bose is often lauded for her portrayal of strong female characters. she was bestowed with the Best Actress award at the New Jersey Independent South Asian Film Festival for her role as a tribal woman in the film Gangor by Italo Spinelli.
In a career spanning ten years, Bose has dabbled in commercial cinema as well as independently produced films; Gangor, Shunyo Awnko, Oaas and Gulaab Gang and the Hollywood production, Sold to name a few. She is currently scheduled to appear in Hollywood production, Lion, directed by Garth Davis, co-starting Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel. In 2013, in a commercial for the jewelry brand Tanishq, she played the role of a single mother who remarries, commenting on a serious and sensitive issue in India. The commercial was considered "path-breaking" and went on to win various accolades, many of them for Bose and her subtle but powerful performance.
More recently, she has been touring the world, with the award-winning play Nirbhaya, by internationally acclaimed playwright Yael Farber. The play is based on the 2012 Delhi rape and attempts to recreate a merciless, searing evocation of the night and the effect it had thereafter. Her performance along with that of the ensemble cast has received only the highest of praise, the world over.
Currently she has ventured into production which creates short films and music videos for independent musicians and bands. The idea is to support and create work she personally believes in.

On non-working days, she enjoys the company of her daughter, her pets, her partner and a vintage piano.
