Rae Gray - Biography

Rae Gray
Rae Gray was born in Chicago, Illinois. She started acting at the age of four to follow in the footsteps of her brother, Zach Gray. For most of her life, she was solely involved in theatre in Chicago at places like Steppenwolf Theatre, Goodman Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, Victory Gardens Theatre, and Writers Theatre. When she was 18, she started working in New York and Los Angeles, and thinks of herself as tri-coastal, Chicago being the third coast.

Rae most recently worked on "The Real Thing" on Broadway starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Ewan McGregor and Cynthia Nixon. Previously, she starred opposite William Petersen in the two-hander "Slowgirl" at the Geffen Playhouse and Steppenwolf Theatre. She shot a large guest star on the first episode of "CSI: Cyber" (CBS). Her other TV credits include "Shameless" (Showtime), "Boardwalk Empire" (HBO, recurring), "Chicago Fire" (NBC), and "Betrayal" (ABC).

Apart from acting, Rae loves to read, write, edit, play baseball/softball, sing, play guitar, dance, and eat amazing food. She is a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bulls and Blackhawks, and loves watching and going to games. She graduated from the University of Chicago in December 2014.
