Reece Odum - Biography

Reece Odum was born on April 3rd, in Atlanta GA. This award winning actress has always had a true love for the performing arts; at 4 years old she began her 15 year dancing career, later also played the cello, performed in the 1996 Opening Ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Atlanta and competed in the Miss America and Miss USA pageants in GA. Needless to say she is no stranger to a stage, camera or huge audiences. Reece is also an accomplished model, while living in LA she was given the opportunity to model for a print ad where her image was chosen as the face of a major citywide initiative that has been displayed all over the city of Los Angeles since 2009, as well as throughout the LAX airport terminals and parking structures.

In just a short time, Reece's acting career has flourished allowing her the opportunity of completing several film projects where she performed in a lead or principal role (Lesson before Love, Imprisoned by Love, What Love Will Make You Do, Mr. Right to name a few). She is extremely proud of the success of her first leading role in the indie feature film, Lesson before Love, which was an Official Selection of several film festivals nationwide, limited theatrical release in several cities, and DVD is being sold online and available in Redbox nationwide. One of her most challenging roles to date was the leading lady in the feature film "Imprisoned By Love", written and directed by Micheal Angelo. This film is a drama centered around domestic violence 2013 Official Selection of the GA Latino Film Festival (GLFF) , The People's Film Festival in NYC where it was awarded "Best Film 2014" and Honorable mention Best Film 2014 at the NYC Mount Vernon Film Festival. Reece was honored to receive her first "Best Actress" Award for her role in this film at the 2013 GLFF.

A few of her recent films include "What Love Will Make You Do" , "Mr. Right" , UPtv' s " Lyfe's Journey" and the " The Wish". Reece portrayed roles in both films as apart of the main and principal cast working along side amazing actors like Victoria Rowell (Young and the Restless), Keith Robinson (Dream girls), Darrin Henson (SoulFood), Carl Payne (Martin), Columbus Short (Scandal), Patrick Faucette (The Have and Have Nots" and many more. In 2015 she has several projects awaiting her, including hosting a television show, a stage play and her next lead role in the feature film "A Question of Faith" to name a few.

As an actress, her goal is to continue to share her passion of acting with a purpose by helping to make a difference in people's lives. You will notice a theme with many of her projects being focused on major issues that need to be addressed in the community such as domestic violence, organ/tissue donation as well as faith based projects.
