René Escobar Jr. is a Canadian-Panamanian actor born in Ajax, Ontario, Canada on April 20th, 1989. Shortly after birth, he moved with his family to Panama City, Panama, the country where his parents were born and raised. His father's job forced the family to relocate to Toronto, Austin, and back to Toronto. He completed high school in Markham, Ontario at St. Augustine Catholic High School and attended York University in Toronto where he graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Criminology in 2013. He decided to take acting classes a year after graduating from university.
René is fluent in Spanish and English and speaks Brazilian Portuguese in moderation. He is a dual citizen of Canada and Panama.
He currently lives in Toronto.
