Rhys Thomas - Biography

Rhys Thomas is an English actor, comedian, writer, producer and director best known for starring in a wealth of hit British comedy shows like 'The Fast Show,' 'Star Stories,' 'Sirens' , 'Down The Line' and 'Nathan Barley.' He wrote his first sketch for 'The Fast Show' at the age of 17 and two years later he became youngest person ever to write and star in his own sitcom, 'Fun at the Funeral Parlour' (BBC TV, 2001-2).

More recently he has moved into directing and won an International Emmy and the Rose d'Or for Best Arts Documentary for his feature length documentary film, 'Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender', which he also produced. He was also nominated for a BAFTA in 2013 in the Breakthrough Talent Category. He also produced 'Queen: Days of Our Lives' which was also nominated for both an Emmy and Rose d'Or in 2012.
