Richard Short - Biography

Richard Short is an English actor, who's spent over a decade based in the Unites States. Richard is equally at home on the stage and has starred in many critically acclaimed productions worldwide. Most recently, he appeared in Jezz Butterworth's "Jerusalem" on Broadway alongside Mark Rylance. Prior to that, he created the role of 'Eric Saunders' in the original cast of Roberto Aguirre Sacasa's play, King of Shadows, also in New York. Other highlights include 'A Night with Simon Gray' at Lincoln Centre, a hugely acclaimed performance as 'Harry' in Mary Rose for the Vineyard Theatre, NY and 'John Eastman' in the National Theatre of London transfer of 'The Night Season' directed by Lonny Price at Bay Street Theatre. After a career which began in the UK West End version of "Grease", Richard became an actor of some renown amongst the theatrical community and has worked onstage alongside Katherine Helmond, Alec Baldwin, Robert Sean Leonard, Michael O'Keefe, Lily Rabe, Michelle Williams, Mackenzie Crook, Marisa Tomei, Roger Allam, David Patrick Kelly, Shane Richie, Darren Day, Keir Dullea, Roger Rees, Dana Ivey, Julian Ovenden, Alysia Reiner, David Alan Basche, Chris Carmack and many more.

Also a prolific writer, having published articles, a World Cup book in 2014, written a feature film and interviewed soccer stars (including Thierry Henry) for various publications.
