Rob Schiller began his career as a child actor. At the age of eleven, he wrote, produced, directed and starred in his first play about Harry Houdini. He started making films on his dad's Super 8 at age thirteen. At 19, he purchased a children's theatre company called The Peter Piper Players, turned it equity and produced/directed/starred in productions at local venues for two years while performing professionally in and around the Buffalo area. Rob attended Ithaca College for Communications and Buffalo State College for theatre arts.
He then moved to New York City where he took a job with CBS as a Production Supervisor and later as a Producer on the daytime drama, "As the World Turns". He then came out to Los Angeles to direct over 250 episodes of the daytime drama "Santa Barbara", for which he garnered two Best Director Emmys. Wishing to mix his dramatic background with his comedic acting experience, Rob went on to direct/produce over 250 episodes of sitcoms, most notably nine years on the CBS hit comedy, "The King of Queens", "Two and a Half Men", "Bleep My Dad Says", "Til Death" most recently directing for Charlie Sheen's new show, "Anger Management". His latest motion picture is "And They're Off", starring Sean Astin and Kevin Nealon, about a failed horse trainer who desperately wants to be back in the winner's circle.
With a heritage of philanthropy, Schiller continues to support causes for health and human services, arts and entertainment, local and national political fund raising, public education and volunteers regularly at SOVA Community Food and Resources Program in Los Angeles.
