Robert Homer Mollohan - Biography

Robert Homer Mollohan is a director, writer (theater and film), actor, heir to a renowned political family, and related to American pioneer and frontiersman, Daniel Boone. He attended Valley Forge Military Academy in Pennsylvania and went on to graduate from Howe Military school in Indiana. Drifting all over the States he has studied with a number of acting programs including The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the highly respected Maggie Flanigan Studio while working in New York City. He also studied playwriting at Maggie Flanigan Studio under the Playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis.

Although born in Washington D.C., Mollohan was brought up in Fairmont, West Virginia, where his mother was a speech therapist and his father was a member of the United States House of Representatives for twenty-eight years. Mollohan's grandfather (and namesake), Robert "Bob" Homer Mollohan, served in that same capacity prior to his father.

Mollohan began his acting career training with celebrated acting teacher Maggie Flanigan at her studio in New York. Since then, he has been working steadily as an actor in the New York and Los Angeles theatre community for over fifteen years. Notably, his critically acclaimed play,

"Jesse Boy" (which he wrote and starred in), had its world premiere at LA's Ruskin Group Theatre. In the play, directed by Karen Landry, Mollohan plays a violent, sociopath, Elvis impersonator named "Richy." "Justified's" Chris Mulkey co-starred in the production.

Making a recent transition to the big screen, Mollohan wrote and directed Bowman, a short film that premiered at the Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. He also appears in a Dodge RAM commercial riding a pan-head (motorcycle) with some of the top stunt men and women in the business. He recently participated in The Hollywood Fringe Festival where he was nominated for the Golden Award for Male Performance in "The Conduct of Life," written by Maria Irene Fornes and directed by Sabina Ptasniznik.

Mollohan's latest project is the soon-to-be released Road to Paloma, a buddy film and homage to Dennis Hopper's iconic 1969 Easy Rider. Road to Paloma is the directorial debut of "Game of Throne's" Jason Momma (Batman vs. Superman), who stars alongside Mollohan (screenwriter/associate producer) as a Native American drifter running from the law after taking it into his own hands avenging his mother's murder. The film is from WWE Studios and Anchor Bay Films. Mollohan can be seen in one of Priceline's priceless commercials opposite William Shatner and Kaley Cuoco, directed by Roman Coppola.

When Mollohan isn't acting, writing or making films, his other passions include riding his motorcycle, and singing the blues with his guitar.
