Robert Kouba - Biography

Robert Kouba began his career in his home country Switzerland where he quickly developed a passion for the visual arts early on. At a very young age he started to pursue painting, but quickly switched his focus to motion pictures. His science-fiction short film "Xenopia" (2004) was shown in festivals when he was just 12 years old.

After graduating with a degree in economics he started following his passion for film by graduating from the cinematic arts program at the SAE Institute in Zurich.

He received his first recognition in 2010 when he directed the science-fiction short film "Translucent Unicorn" (2010) for the international campaign Parallel Lines by Philips.

Later he founded his own film production company called Vantis Pictures and started working on many commercials, music videos, and short films, like the highly anticipated science-fiction thriller "The Rift" (2012) which was shown in several film festivals and on television.

Robert Kouba just finished his first feature film entitled "Aurora" (2016).
