Roland Buck III - Biography

Roland Buck III is an American actor; born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Dallas, Texas. He's played sports all his life, and has had a passion for acting since seeing "The Wood" at the age of twelve. Upon college, Roland accepted a football scholarship to North Carolina A&T State University. Beginning his sophomore year, he transferred to Texas Southern University to play football while pursuing acting for two and a half years.

In May 2010, Roland moved to Los Angeles, CA to dedicate his time and energy to his acting career. He studied at the Ivana Chubbuck Acting Studio and has been building momentum ever since. While starring in commercials, plays, as well as supporting roles in Student Films, Roland decided it was best to go back to school for acting and acquire a solid foundation in Theatre. Roland accepted a scholarship to the University of Southern California (USC) in the Fall of 2012 and finished his BA in Theatre in May 2014.

Roland was recently One of Seven Finalist in the 2015 ABC Discovers Talent Competition in which 7,000 submissions were accepted nation wide. The loss didn't last for long because his next Feature, SLEIGHT, was chosen to Premier at SUNDANCE 2016.

Roland is now Recurring on NBC's hit medical drama CHICAGO MED. What's next? Stay tuned, time will tell.
