Roman Blat - Biography

Actor known for The Purge: Election Year (2016), The Blacklist (2014), Person Of Interest (2014), Daredevil (2015), The Americans (2016), and Rabid (Graffiti Art)

Born on August 30, 1984, in Riga, Latvia. In 1993, he immigrated to the United States with his family. He worked in a variety of fields until starting a career in finance. After seven successful years working for such firms as Hold Brothers Investments, J.P. Morgan Chase and Level Equities, he realized the field of finance, although very lucrative, was ultimately unsatisfying; so he left this career to pursue another that would bring him happiness: a career in the performing arts. He attended The Acting Studio, where he was instructed in the Meisner Technique, by James Price (faculty and director of The Acting Studio). Private lessons in Method acting, Susan Cohen (faculty, Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, and Tisch School of the Arts, New York University). Commercial acting, Barry Shapiro (casting director, Herman & Lipson Casting, Inc.). Improv acting, at the Upright Citizens Brigade. Roman brings professionalism, drive, and determination to his acting career. He is constantly learning new skills and improving his abilities. Roman is a member of SAG-AFTRA.
