Samantha Brown-Parks - Biography

Born in Florida to Roy and Sandra Brown, Sam was raised on a farm in the rural town of Wauchula. She performed in local theater and church as a child, but decided to pursue a medical career while studying urban planning at the University of Florida. She was accepted to medical school at the University of Miami at the age of 19. By 23 years she was practicing medicine in the US Army at the rank of captain. In 2001 Dr. Brown-Parks received her Masters of Public Health with a focus in Health Policy. Her experience as assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine has given her the expertise necessary to consult on "all things medical" both on-screen and off.
