Sandra Cassel - Biography

Lovely, slender, and charming brunette actress Sandra Peabody was born on June 15, 1952 in Providence, Rhode Island. Sandra graduated from the Neighborhood Playhouse, attended Carnegie-Mellon University, and studied acting with Meisner. Peabody acted in a handful of entertainingly trashy low-budget soft-core movies and exploitation pictures made throughout the early to mid 70s. She achieved her greatest enduring cult cinema popularity with her fine and touching performance as sweet and fragile virginal innocent Mari Collingwood in Wes Craven's brutal and controversial "The Last House on the Left." Sandra was likewise quite memorable as the sassy Bird in the immensely enjoyable "Teenage Hitch-hikers." Peabody quit acting in the mid 70s. Sandra now works as a drama teacher and children's television writer and producer in Portland, Oregon.
