Sara Mitich - Biography

Sara Mitich is defined by her passion, discipline and remarkably wide range as an actor. Sara most recently appeared in the SyFy/Space original series 'The Expanse' where she has a recurring role playing 'Gia' opposite stars Thomas Jane and Jay Hernandez.

Sara was also recently seen on NBC's 'Heroes Reborn' and in the widely popular CBC series 'Murdoch Mysteries', where her recurring role as "Lillian Moss" proved to be a fan favorite. Selected past television credits include 'The Listener' for CTV, 'Gerry Dee: The Substitute' for the CBC and 20th Century Fox's 'Joy Ride 3.'

Prior to acting, Sara's first love was Ballet. At the young age of 9, Sara began at the National Ballet School of Canada where she flourished for the next five years. Due to a sudden growth spurt however, knee and back injuries forced her to stop her journey to Prima Ballerina. Shortly afterwards, Sara directed her focus to acting and she graduated from the joint actor training program between University of Toronto and Sheridan College.

Originally from Hamilton, ON, Sara now calls Toronto home. Though she is first generation Canadian, her family hails from Serbia and she remains fluent in both English and Serbian. When she is not acting, Sara is a pro horseback rider (western) and avid book lover of all genres. As a part of giving back to the next generation of actors, she also teaches and coaches at Armstrong Acting Studios.
