Sarah Megan Thomas - Biography

Sarah was born and raised in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. The daughter of two lawyers, Sarah was an avid athlete growing up, and was the first person at her high school to score over 1000 points in basketball.

Sarah stars opposite Anna Gunn and James Purefoy in the first female driven Wall Street movie, EQUITY, which will have its World Premiere in Dramatic Competition at Sundance 2016.

Thomas also stars opposite James Van Der Beek in the sports film BACKWARDS, which was released in select theaters nationwide, as well as On Demand, Netflix, DVD and additional platforms, with Disney licensing the film internationally. Thomas produced and wrote the film. She has been seen in various other films, television shows, and commercials. Thomas has been interviewed as an actress and filmmaker on many talk shows and networks, including The Today Show, CNN, and Fox.

In 2014, Variety announced the launch of Sarah's new production Company, Broad Street Pictures.

Classically trained in London at Drama Studio and RADA, Thomas has starred in numerous Off-Broadway plays, including the New York premiere of "Summit Conference," which was extended twice due to popular demand and rated "Don't Miss" by Time Out Magazine. Thomas starred in the gender reversed "Love's Labour's Lost," reviewed by The New York Times as: "Once you hear Berowne's (Sarah Megan Thomas') immortal cry of longing, "Oh my little heart!" spoken by a woman, you may wonder why Shakespeare didn't think of that."

She is a graduate of Williams College.
