Sarah Scott - Biography

Sarah Scott is an American actress, dancer, and producer. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Marion (Koslucher) and Gary Scott. Her mother is of Irish and Slovenian descent, and her father has French, German, and English ancestry. Sarah has two younger sisters. She moved with her family to Colleyville, Texas where she trained in dance from a young age and began performing and competing with a professional company at the age of thirteen.

While studying at the Steinhardt School of Media, Culture, and Communication at New York University, Sarah started acting in small theaters and comedy clubs around New York City. She also completed the Shakespearean program at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London before graduating from NYU.

After moving to Los Angeles, her first television appearance was a featured part on Fox's Arrested development - Les nouveaux pauvres (2003) as the doppelgänger to "Kitty" played by Judy Greer. The producers thought she looked enough like Greer to bring her back for a second episode in the third season.

Sarah has guest starred on numerous television shows and starred in independent features including a role alongside C. Thomas Howell in the thriller, The Grind (2009). Sarah portrays Courtney Love in Soaked in Bleach (2015), a controversial docu/drama that examines the death of Kurt Cobain that was ruled a suicide in 1994. Soaked in Bleach was produced by Richard Middleton who also produced the black-and-white silent film, The Artist (2011), in which Sarah also appears, and which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2012.
