Dr. Scott Kelly was born in Akron, Ohio. He has lived most of his life in Florence, South Carolina. Scott earned his PhD in Economics from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina in May 2005. Scott also graduated from Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina with a Bachelors Degree in Economics in May 2000 with minors in Math, Political Science, and History. His determined and perfectionist nature has allowed him to excel in a varied career. Prior to entering the entertainment industry, Scott spent 15 years as a university economics and business professor and spent 7 of those years also coaching men's college basketball. In addition to acting, Scott currently also conducts Economic Impact Studies for sci-fi and comic conventions. He is active in the Brolo Nation, an online group created for entertainment industry professionals, and he supports the rescue and rehabilitation of injured and disabled animals.
