Sebastian Siegel is a British-American filmmaker and actor born in Oxford, England. His father is Indian religions professor and Pulitzer nominated author, Lee Siegel. His grandfather, Leonard Thompson, was a lifelong opponent of apartheid in South Africa. He began studying drama at age seven, won the drama prize at Kent School, and started at The University of Hawaii at fourteen to study theatre.
He often credits gratefulness to theatre, humor, rigorous exercise, authors Alan Watts, Ken Wilber, other philosophers and artists, and friend and mentor James Whitmore.
