Shandel Miranda was born in San Diego, CA, as Shandel Miranda Vigil. Both her mother and father were active duty in the U.S Navy. Shandel Miranda is an actress of Portuguese, Spanish and Native American descent. Shandel frequently moved around until finding her home in Biloxi, MS where she began absorbing the acting and performance craft. At age nine, Shandel began performing locally at talent shows. By age thirteen, she received her first award in New York City, NY by performing vocally at Carnegie Hall amongst peers and audience. She only attended high school for three years, where she took interest in theater and choir. Receiving an academic scholarship to UNLV, Shandel graduated High School at the age of 17, then left home. Upon graduation with a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, Shandel Miranda moved to Los Angeles where she began to avidly pursue a career in acting. Shandel modeled, appeared in various magazines and music videos. Her first appearance was in the HULU series, Quickdraw (2013-). She has studied at the Stella Adler Academy, the late Carolyne Barry Creative, along with numerous award-winning acting and vocal coaches.
