Shawna Craig is an actress, host and model born in Los Angeles, CA and raised near Tallahassee, FL. She found a passion for the arts at a young age and was a fixture on stage at her school, church and with her theatre company. Her obvious talents radiate around sports and the performing arts. She was a star athlete on her basketball, volleyball and track team; winning several awards each year. She attended private school through 10th grade. She competed with other private schools in state and national competitions taking home medals each year for solo, choir, small ensemble, large ensemble, dramatic monologue, radio programming and one act play. In 2000 she enrolled in a theatre school. The same year, she signed with a local agency and competed in Hilton Head, SC for Models of the South and won Best Runway, Best Headshot and Best Group Runway. She home schooled her Junior year to pursue acting as she auditioned weekly for the Florida State University film school. As she prepared for college, she auditioned for the local college show choir where she beat out hundreds of hopefuls for a spot on a team of 14 members. Her hard work in academics and fine arts paid off as she was presented with a Fine Arts Scholarship for Show choir, The Bright Future Scholarship, two Foundation scholarships and a Pell grant. After a year of touring with her college show choir, she moved to a beach town in the panhandle of Florida. She worked 4 jobs and went to school full time. In the summer of 2007 she drove cross country to San Diego. After she moved to San Diego, she again worked several jobs while pursuing a job in entertainment. She secured a hosting position interviewing celebrities on the red carpet for various events. She was featured on The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency show and HBO's John From Cincinnati. In November of 2009, she moved to Los Angeles where she met her now husband, Lorenzo Lamas. Shawna has been featured on numerous reality shows with Lorenzo and has worked with him on several films. Her story has already been featured in a book of empowerment called "Change One Belief." She is known for Celebrity Wife Swap for ABC, which brought in record breaking numbers for the summer season as well as feature films Infected (2013), Story of Eva (2014) and Mucho Dinero (2014). Shawna was a spokesmodel in The Champ Car Atlantics series for official sponsor Cooper Tires. As a premier model, she was often featured with the drivers on The Speed Channel and ESPN and was even given the honor of delivering the famous "Drivers Start Your Engines" at the Long Beach Grand Prix. She has had a long standing relationship with Cooper Tires and was able to represent them in the Formula D series as well as touring with Professional Bull Riders Inc. (PBR); entering the ring to help present awards. She represented Mazda at Laguna Seca for both Moto GP and AMA two years in a row. Shawna is now the first female owner of an all-female race team, Shawna Craig Racing.
