Sipiwe Moyo - Biography

Actress Sipiwe Moyo was born in Community Hospital in Ensley, Alabama. Her father, a doctor in the community, and her mother, a mental health professional are both immigrants from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. When she was twelve years old, she started attending the Alabama School of Fine Arts, where she began to develop a love of acting. She studied theater and earned her BFA with honors at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in New York City.

Moyo made her screen debut with a small role as Dembe's Mother on The Blacklist (2014). In 2015, Moyo debuted her one-woman show "My Friend Nina" off-off-Broadway, in which she starred.
