Sonja O'Hara - Biography

Sonja O'Hara was raised in Williamswood, Nova Scotia. Starting at the age of ten, she began performing in local theatre and she knew immediately it was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. By the age of 11, she was enrolled in professional acting classes and was performing in Shakespearean productions in summer theater camp where she was signed by her first agent. Sonja soon began auditioning for commercials as well as film and television roles in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In high school, O'Hara was heavily involved in theatre both in and out of school and started researching drama schools to attend after graduation.

O'Hara began her professional on-screen career with featured roles in local film productions before moving to New York City as a teenager where she attended The New York Conservatory For Dramatic Art. Shortly after arriving in the Big Apple, Sonja earned her first lead movie role in the independent film "Norman Normal: A Modern Metamorphosis". This up-and-coming young actress now splits her time between New York and Los Angeles.
