Sunny Mabrey - Biography

Sunny Mabrey was born and raised in Gadsden, a small city in northeastern Alabama. Upon graduating high school at the age of 17, Sunny entered the world of modeling, traveling to Paris and Miami. However, growing up with a passion for the arts, it wasn't long before she found herself back in school at the private, liberal arts University of Mobile, from which she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater, with a minor in Art. After graduation, Sunny continued to model in New York, where she acquired her first small acting roles. It was a small role in a film in December 1999 that brought her out to Los Angeles, where she has stayed and enjoyed a successful career in film and television.

Shortly after arriving in LA, Sunny nabbed her first major film role, starring in the Sony / Revolution Studios feature, Le nouveau (2002), opposite DJ Qualls, Eliza Dushku and Zooey Deschanel. Over the years, Sunny has appeared in many more films and TV shows, including a major recurring role opposite Jason Lee in TNT's Memphis Beat (2010); a guest star in AMC's breakout hit and Emmy darling, Mad Men (2007); and the lead role in the upcoming Lighthouse Pictures / Lifetime film, The Trainer (2010). She also starred in the feature film, One Last Thing... (2005), which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, opposite Cynthia Nixon and Michael Angarano. Sunny's impressive resume goes on to include Des serpents dans l'avion (2006), xXx²: The Next Level (2005), Un mariage presque parfait (2009), Dr House (2004), Leçons sur le mariage (2007), Desperate Housewives (2004), The Closer: L.A.: Enquêtes prioritaires (2005) and many others.
